Every owl party needs some owl cupcakes! Honestly I was surprised at just how CUTE they turned out!
They were super simple to make, we used Oreo cookies and M&M's. The only part that was kind of a pain was pulling the Oreo's apart.
About half the Oreo's broke, some of them when I pulled them apart and some when I tried to smooth out the cream in the middle.
Some Buttercream icing died PINK, Brown M&M for the pupils and Yellow M&M's for the nose!
Very clever! Did you use the double stuff Oreo's? I don't bake often but I might just try this!
ReplyDeleteThanks Becki,
DeleteI just used regular Oreos!!!
The bonus was I could eat all the broken ones! ;)

ReplyDeleteHello Ashli,
ReplyDeleteI thought of you on a recent vacation. We left our lunch and a bag of OREOS in the car for an hour or two.
When we came back, the cookies were warm and came apart SO easily! We were even able to just peel off the white part.
Hopefully this will help the next time you need to separate OREOS -- place in a closed car on a HOT day!
