Once the ribbon was attached I put the it under the door, and waited to see it in action, the door slammed shut, hard! A quick trip to home depot to pick up some rubber sticky pads and the problem was solved. I promptly hung it on the door knob behind the front door. It's one of my favorite projects we've tackled and the bonus is we use it daily!

I was amazed at walmarts ribbon selection and the prices were pretty good too. I went to the by the yard ribbon section and the particular ribbon I bought was $1.39 for a yard and we only used half a yard for our door stop.
How is it that you can make something as ordinary as a door stop be so beautiful, great idea.
