    Office in a Box

If you have a small space or are just lacking an office I made a post for you. It seems like a "Blank in a box week" with our remote in a box post yesterday and today I have an Office in a Box post over on I Heart Organizing.

    Office in a box:

If you have a second pop over to I Heart Organizing this afternoon for an office in a box. I LOVE small space organization and this is something that I think can work for everyone, whether you have a small space or a large one! :)

Make sure to check back this afternoon to see if you won our Made by Maru Giveaway!!!

I see you are only holding the bare minimum of house bills and paperwork. We all know in reality we archive more than this...so why don't you show us where you really hide the other nitty gritty paperwork?

i've learned to scan and archive my paid bills on a flash drive shredding them after i scan. i keep one per year and include my taxes also. I always do keep a paper copy of my taxes but i want to make sure that i have a back up if anything happens. hope this idea helps with your paperwork, i know it took me a while to figure a way not to have tons of paper.

I have shared before where I keep all of the 'long term' files, in my paper work post here is the link:
        http://www.maillardvillemanor.com/2012/06/reader-request-paperwork-organization.html
This is for the day to day paperwork. Bills . . . Credit card statements . . . etc. . .

I agree with Anonymous...when you are an animal owner you have alot of docs from vet or just other documentation, not to mention misc. papers from a million different household related things. This basket although cute and efficient I also think it's more of a staged box than anything else. No matter how much of a clean freak or scanning fanatic you still have more documents than this. It just looks staged that's all and not real life. Then again....Ashli here doesn't ever show "real life" shots, she just posts the staged, magazinen worthy ones.

What a lovely surprise this morning, what a kind comment.
I have shown where I store the bulk of our paperwork in this post:

        http://www.maillardvillemanor.com/2012/06/reader-request-paperwork-organization.html

This is the box I keep my day to day paperwork. Things I need to get to regularly, bills, credit cards statements, etc . . .

And I will add, that just because your real life doesn't look like this, don't accuse mine of being staged.

I love how the nasty comments are always made by anonymous posters. Ashli, I've been enjoying your blog for a while now but have never commented before. Just wanted to add my two cents on this one: I don't believe your posts and photos are "staged" at all... I think you show the aspects of your life that the people who visit your blog want to see... I'm sure there are aspects of your home / life that aren't necessarily "magazine worthy" but no one comes to this blog to see the ordinary stuff... Maybe anonymous poster wants to see your dirty laundry pile or dishes in the sink, but the rest of us come here to see your great decor / organizing / home care ideas. Keep up the great work!

May I ask, or rather beg.... could you please tell me where you purchased those baskets? Love them!

I love this blog!! I think it's so sad that people are so rude sometimes. I think blogs, etc. are like televisions and remote controls. If I find something I feel is dishonest or just doesn't sit well with me for whatever reason, I don't have to read it. I admire you Ashli and you inspire me to see what I can achieve and at least shoot for. Keep up the good work :-)

I grew up in a house where my mom seemed to save ALL paperwork, including stuff that nobody needs to save. I'm so glad that a lot of our paperwork is available and archived online, so I don't have to deal with extra clutter. I love your blog and your organizing ideas! Thanks for sharing :)

Wondering where you got the plastic file holder. I have been looking for something like this. Love the "bill paying" basket - that's what I would do with it :)

      Hi Ashli,
I've never commented here before, but I love your blog. My favourite part is how neat and tidy and organized it is. A few other blogs I read seems so cluttered, but I love your layouts. May I ask you how big those boxes are and also where did you get the cute file folders, or did you just embellish them with scrapbook paper? I love this idea, because I always put off filing because it's so boring, but if I could watch TV at the same time....
Anyways, I just wanted to finally say HI after enjoying your blog for a long time especially since you're here in the lower mainlaind too.
