Due to popular demand ;) I am working on a post about our favorite books, thank you for letting me know what you'd like to see more of.
Now on to today's topic:
No one likes TV remotes . . . I don't think men even like them. Don't get me wrong I am very grateful for the invention of TV remotes but they aren't the most attractive things to look at. Luckily Lee also doesn't like having multiple remotes so we have a universal remote to consolidate all of the media remotes into one. But I wanted to take it one step further and I found a cute, kind of sassy, wood box that fit the remote perfectly. It has a little chrome bulldog head on it . . . my love of uncommon weird things took over and I had to have it, $12 later our remote is out of sight. (found at Homesense)
Bonus: We found that when the remote is out of sight, it is also out of mind and we are less likely to just turn the TV on unless we have something specific to watch!
p.s. I am still loving the orange pillow, orange flower combination!!

That is a gorgeous pillow! And the box is pretty sweet too. I need to find one with a boston terrier face!
ReplyDeleteWe have a similar box that's red and white to add a splash of color to the room. I love it!
ReplyDeleteI hate having the remotes out. However, if I put it in a box I think Mark would have a heart attack! LOL Right now they are thrown in our dough bowl. UGH!!! Loving the orange still too.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun dog face! Pretty box. :)
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty box to keep your TV remote in.Also still loving the orange pillow, the flowers really pick up the color.
ReplyDeleteI am so excited to see your list of favorite books! Especially the ones about adoption. We are in the process of adopting a little girl from the foster care system and she has been with us for 6 months now. What a great experience!
ReplyDeleteI think your pillow is smiling and the remote is mad he's in a box. :-) Have a great day Ashli.
ReplyDeleteluv it!! which remote do you have? ok and here's my next question (yes it gives you a glimps into the way my brain works you are forewarned its not pretty!) but what did you do with your other remotes? i would stand there holding them contemplating "do i throw them away?" "if i throw them away what happens if the other remote breaks or gets lost?" "but why did i buy the $80 remote if i'm just going to keep all the other remotes?"
