First off, sorry for the lack of posts last week . . . it was a crazy week. We'll be back with more posts this week!!! :)
Now on to today's post which was almost titled "Darn Homesense" I should be banned. In fact Lee should ban me. I went in to pick up one little item for our new bookshelves in the library and this orange beauty was sitting there. Starring at me with it's tempting $10 price tag.
I never pegged myself as an orange girl, but I loved this pillow. I had never seen one where there were tiny folds all along the front! It kind of reminded me of tile (I don't know why?).
(Ignore the little doggy face poking out)
Because our living room is SO neutral it was super easy to fit in a colored pillow or two. I don't know if I will be able to fully commit to the orange but I'll give it a fair try. So far I'm in love with it (I'm still not sure if it's new relationship love or if it's long lasting Notebook love). Once I've figured out if this love is meant to last I'll be willing to invest a little more into the 'relationship' and add a throw blanket in orange, or some candle sticks in orange as well. But for now some Orange-ish tulips will do. Wow, this might be a relationship if I bought our new orange pillow flowers already! ;)
But even if we don't stick with the orange accent, the feather pillow insert alone was worth the $10.
So are you Orange with envy over our new orange pillow?? haha ;)

The pillow does kinda look like subway tile. I love the orange accents in a neutral room... maybe because that's what I have here!! :-) Can't wait to see where you end up! xo
ReplyDeleteOh, I love it. Especially with your tulips. So springy. I've been finding more and more Tahari at HomeGoods/Tj Maxx and I love their stuff. Great purchase. Thanks for sharing, Liz
ReplyDeleteI like it. It is a nice color and I like the texture on the pillow.. pretty tulips too! :)
ReplyDeleteLove the new pillow. Can't beat the price either. I love a little punch of color this time of year when everything is so blah.
ReplyDeleteI never thought in orange for the living room but I went to Target over the weekend and I saw a few accent items in that color. I went to Burlington and I saw that color again. I was thinking; "Is that the new thing now?". I actually liked them. I was so tempted in getting something in that color but I hesitated. Now I see your pillow and your tulips and I love it. It's a good accent color to your livingroom.

ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty pillow! I think you just made me like orange...
ReplyDeleteI LOVE orange. It's cheerful and uplifting, our living room is pale orange (sometimes I think it's a bit much though).
ReplyDeleteThat pillow is something I would grab.
Love it! Orange is such a hot color right now. I like punches of orange coloring in a neutral living room.
ReplyDeleteSo cute how could you not resist, I would have grab it to love the texture and colour.
ReplyDeleteYou're hilarious! I always though of orange as "Halloween"...until I saw your pillow. You're a smart cookie too, because you haven't dived right in, you're "getting your feet wet" with little pops of the orange. The pillow is gorgeous and w/ the tulips, it looks awesome. Some people jump on the colour bandwagon by painting an entire room in whatever is the colour trend, only to find they loathe it. I find it refreshing w/ your neutral backdrop!
ReplyDeleteI have orange pillows in our living room :)
ReplyDeleteIf I had seen that pillow for $10 I would have snatched it up too! Good find!
i luv orange in a living - i spray painted two brass lamps from GW that same orange almost 2 yrs ago. it's refreshing and just "picks me up" when i see them! great buy!!
ReplyDeleteps. how in the world can we ignore sweet little max's face?? neva!!
I love that pillow. It doesn't scream ORANGE(!) to me - more of of subtle orange, which I could totally get into. Great find! And I can't ignore your puppy's face - love that he made it in there.
ReplyDeleteI love the orange color accent in your living room against your taupe color couch. Looks soooo pretty. I think this is the best accent color you've chosen thus far. The tulips are very pretty....time for spring.
ReplyDeleteWhere did you get that giant wall clock? I love that. (love the pillow too!)
ReplyDeleteLove it...just as much as I love Max staring at the new pillow. It's his new competition for attention :).
ReplyDeleteLove it!!! Such a happy pop of colour! You have made me think that our lounge, which the room consists of mainly blue / green accents could use a little orange pop! :)

ReplyDeleteHa! I have my orange days for sure! That is why I have two white couches just in case I have a red, blue, black or yellow day!!! Max is too cute there.
ReplyDeleteLooks more like warm tangerine! I love it!
ReplyDeleteI love orange! It's my favorite color- especially burnt orange. So I'd say you made a great choice!
ReplyDeleteBTW- Where did you get the white container to put your tulips into? I have seen them at Ikea and Target- is it from either place?
Found your website today through Pinterest- Love it!
Thabk you I am so glad you found us!!
DeleteThe container is from Target!!! A couple years ago at Target but they probably have something like it still!!!!
Lots of Love
