We are making progress.
Last week Lee got the bar mounted and the shelves up, then we had the busiest Saturday ever, followed by the laziest Sunday ever so we made very little progress last weekend.
We did manage to get all of the books up on the wall and add some accessories.
The plan is this weekend to add the crown on the top, and a new thick stained wood top on the lower case. We think we can get it all done this weekend, it might involve copious amounts of coffee but it should be done! Well everything except the rolling ladder. That will be done some time in February.
Hopefully Monday we have some amazing photos to share!!!

ReplyDeleteOoo, looking nice! What if you added a column or something between one set of shelves and the other to complete the whole built-in effect. Too corny? Can't wait to see the completed look!
ReplyDeleteThis looks so great! I've found a lot of inspiration for my own home updates on your blog.
ReplyDeleteLove it! I would make you and Lee coffee all day long, if you'd let me come and watch your progress, I want to do the same on our landing... very pretty Ashli :o)

ReplyDeleteAshli, that looks amazing!!! All of Lee's hard work has certainly paid off and I'm sure you put some crazy hard work into putting all of those books up too. I think it totally cozies up your office. Well done!
ReplyDeleteVery nice addition to an already wonderful Library / office. I really like the plant on your upper bookcase. Is that a terrarium?
ReplyDeleteIt's really coming along! I cannot wait to see the finished project with the rolling ladder! What an ambitious project that seems sure to be worthwhile!
ReplyDeleteIt looks so impressive and also so attractive. I’m going to try this for my room, except it’s going to be a very big one to store my books, CD’s and other ornaments.
ReplyDeleteI just love all the details

ReplyDeleteLooks wonderful already! I would love to learn more on what kind of reference books you have. I know that you had a post on cooking books and it was great. I always looking for new great reference books on "diy" or crafts. Good luck with the remainder of the project. Can not wait to see the rest of it!
