This is perfect, I'd love to have this e-book to help me stop buying stuff I think I'll wear but don't. My current go to item is my Banana Republic long trench coat. I spent a little more to get a quality piece and I've had it for 2 years now and it's as good as new. On sundays, I'll sometimes wear ballet flats, leggings, t-shirt and my trench, so easy for all that weekend running around!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely my Gap Always Skinny jeans. Right now I am loving them and how they fit. They work perfectly with my ballet flats or boots. Whatever. Would love to win!
ReplyDeleteTried to purchase using the coupon code and did not work. I'm creating a new work wardrobe and definitely need this to guide me during shopping which I loathe!
ReplyDeleteThe code didn't work for me either
DeleteHi Sorry,
DeleteI think she mixed the name up a bit Try mimimanor!!
~Ashli
I just tried MIMIMANOR and it works! yay!!!
DeleteIt's MIMI instead of MINI!!!!
Thanks for letting me know!!!
Ashli
A black pencil skirt is my staple. Clean cut and perfect for work. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteascote727@yahoo.com
My black capri pants are a must. I live in Florida so they are perfect just about all year long.
ReplyDeleteMine is definitely my husband's too big faux fur lined American Eagle hoodie lol. We live in a small village and I stay at home with my one year old twins and new puppy. It's easy to throw it on to pick the oldest from school, take the puppy outside, go to the post office pretty much anything when it's a bit chilly. I just throw it on over anything.
ReplyDeleteIt's not glamorous nor does it really look put together, but it gets the job done for quick errands around the village.
My go-to is definitely jeans. Of course I can't wear them to work, so that's sad. But I always put them on first thing when I get home.
ReplyDeleteI've been having the same 'itch'! I'm at that place where I feel like many of my clothes don't reflect the look I want to portray. So I want to edit out the stuff that doesn't make me feel goo and make room for clothes I'll love putting on each day!
ReplyDeleteMy go-to piece of clothing is a casual dress. I love throwing one on in the spring or summer. It's the easiest look to pull-off...it requires few layers, yet looks totally put together in a flash! xo
My staple is basic, neutral colored dresses. I own several, and they're so much easier to pull on and accessorize than jeans. In the winter, I add tights or leggings to stay warm.
ReplyDeleteMy current go-to is a navy blazer. It goes with so many of my tops!
ReplyDeleteMy go to item is a butter yellow leather jacket. It dresses up jeans and looks good with dress pants. One of my best purchases ever!
ReplyDeleteMy go-to item is khaki jacket from Old Navy that I bought about 8 years ago! It's the perfect mix of comfy, casual, and matches almost anything.
ReplyDeleteI have this heavy jersey knit skirt - it must be 15 years old. It still fits well ( whether I gain or lose weight). It doesn't wrinkle, is a flattering mid calf length, goes well with 90% of my work wardrobe. Can be dressed up or down, pairs with boots, heels, flats & sandals. Best of all it is actually comfortable! I hope it never wears out.
ReplyDeletemy go to is a gray open front cardigan. great for layering all year around.
ReplyDeleteThis book sounds great! My go to item are my dark wash straight leg jeans for sure. They go with everything!
ReplyDeleteMy must have items are of course a few staples, like a good pair of boot-cut jeans (which won't go out of style), a basic white tee, a neutral-color cardigan that buttons down the front, and a trench coat (always in style, hence a good investment piece). Sorry, for the essay, I got carried away...lol.
ReplyDeletemy go to is black flats, grey tee, scarf, cardi, and blue jeans! Tracy
ReplyDeleteMy go to items are basic tees and cardigans.
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome giveaway! My current go-to item are my dark blue skinny jeans. They look great dresed up with boots or heels, dressed down with sandals (oh, I cannot wait for the return of sandal season)or flats. The color is super versatile because they don't have a crazy wash and they go with everything!
ReplyDeleteI love dad jeans, very versatile. I also am a sucker for a white t shirt.
ReplyDeleteI love dark jeans and a cardigan -- definitely my go-to items.
ReplyDeleteI'm almost embarrassed to admit it, but I'd have to say my Mary Jane Crocs. :)
ReplyDeleteJeans. Can't live without them.
ReplyDeleteDo sweat pants count? I could live in those...
ReplyDeleteI can't think of what my go to item is! I NEED this book!! I would say maybe some jeans that I have that fit less poorly than some of the other jeans I have. Gah, I need this book. :) Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteWould love some fashion help! My go-to item is jeans. With a t-shirt. Every day. I need something new! :)
ReplyDeletemy go to is a cardigan! wear one almost everyday!
ReplyDeleteCute Tees, jeans and Born flats.
ReplyDeleteI need to get this book! I live in Florida, so my go to item is khaki shorts.
ReplyDeleteI love wearing my cardigan sweater. It is easy to put on while carrying my baby in his snuggly and it's the perfect choice for our cool Vancouver spring weather.
ReplyDeleteMy jeans - various brands. I wear them nearly every day, dressed up or dressed down.
ReplyDeleteMy go-to items are my cardigans, a must for working in an air conditioned office.
ReplyDeleteI love layering, so my go to item is definitely my navy cardigan. Well made, stands up to loads of washing and makes me feel put together.
ReplyDeleteMy absolute go-to item is my skinny dark denim jeans!!
ReplyDeleteI love a day when I can wear jeans and flats with a tee and cardigan.
ReplyDeleteA soft v-neck tee. Perfect under a cardigan at work and standing alone on lazy days around the house. Can't have enough!
ReplyDeleteMy go-to item is a grey sweater shrug. It adds a layer of warmth to any outfit without adding the bulk of a long cardigan.
ReplyDeleteI am really interested in this book as well.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE my denim skirt and I am lucky because I CAN wear it to work. ;)
Jule
Would love to win this! My go-to item...fidelity jeans - I love them!! Great quality and fit amazing.....i've had them for over 5 years - definitely worth every penny!
ReplyDeleteJenny
I would love to win this book...I've been itching to weed through my wardrobe and buy a few new pieces! My "go to" is definitely a great pair of jeans - you can dress them up or down!
ReplyDeleteOh, I'd Like to win this book. I just went through my boys' clothes and now it's my turn!!
ReplyDeleteI need some good advice on weeding out my clothes. My one item I wouldn't be without though is a good black t-shirt. :o)
ReplyDeleteLove the book, I need it!!!
ReplyDeleteJeans!!! I know not very interesting but necessary for me.
ReplyDeleteThis book is exaclty what I need right now! In such a fashion rut. My go to item is a good pair of designer jeans. Expensive yes but SO worth it. Dressed up or dressed down they always look and make me feel great.
ReplyDeleteMy go to piece is a pair of nude pumps. When I put them on, they instantly make me look completely pulled together. Plus, I get a psychological boost with the extra height and strut!
ReplyDeleteLeanne W.
ReplyDeleteI'm torn between 2 things for my go-to item... my classic trench that goes with everything or scarves that just add a little extra something to any outfit.
My couldn't-give-it-up item is a hoodie. It's pretty cute and doesn't look as sloppy as hoodies can, is super comfy, and has survived many years of use with out a scratch. I really need some help, though! All I ever wear now is jeans, t-shirts, and flats and it wasn't that long ago I would never wear jeans or flats ever! I'm sick of getting ready to go out and not wanting to wear anything in my closet.
ReplyDeleteI love jeans and a fitted t-shirt. I don't know that I could live without them.
ReplyDeleteMy go-to is a cotton long sleeve black cardigan. It goes with everything!
ReplyDeleteI so need this book for some help! I also go-to my cardigan sweater and Sanuk flip flops. The cardi to "dress" an outfit up and the flip flops to be comfy.
ReplyDeleteI could NEVER give up my black cardigan sweater. Come on, it goes with EVERYTHING. And I don't have just one. Oh now. I have 5 black cardigans: two have 3/4 sleeves, 1 is longer than your typical cardi, and the other two are variations of the same. So, as you can see, my black cardi is staying...forever.
ReplyDeleteYoga pants (isn't this true for everyone?).
ReplyDeleteI have expensive ones, ones from Costco, ones with paint on it, ones that are too long, ones that match hoodies... I am a part-time stay-at-home mom and these match everything, are comfy, let me chase the toodler around the park and still look okay at the grocery store (unless I am wearing the too long or painted pair).
The boyfriend cardigan, fits over anything and can be dressed up or down. Also love that it's small enough to fit in my bag for a chilly night.
ReplyDeleteDenim capris are my favorite. I'm a WAHM, so it's half of my uniform. :-) I NEED this book. Sadly, the coupon code has been all used up.
ReplyDeleteSlip off shoes! I hate tying or fastening shoes so I'm really loving all the slip off shoes I have!
ReplyDeleteOh are you touching a nerve with this post! Like you, I'm dying for change. Every year I hope to be a smaller size by next season, not happening. Since I'm at home my go-to is jeans but none that flatter me are in my closet! And my Dansko shoes the podiatrist ordered. Beginning blogger, craftythriftydecoratingwifemom.wordpress.com,
ReplyDeleteJanet
I could NEVER give up my little black dress.... it works for every last minute occassion becuase I can dress it up or dress it down.
ReplyDeleteI try to have at least 3 new white tshirts in different styles. I can dress up a white tshirt with a skirt, jeans, lacks, shorts, etc.
ReplyDeleteWould love to win the ebook.
I have my favorite boot cut jeans. They can be dressed up with boots, wedges or heels or made comfy with tennies or flip flops.
ReplyDeleteI could REALLY use this book-I have a bad habit of spending all my extra money on house stuff and not buying clothes even when they are (badly!) needed. :)
I am an event planner, so I'm at work way more than home or other places. My biggest go-to pieces are my Banana Republic Martin Cut dress pants. They are dressy, but when I have to set up events (bend down under tables, set up staging, etc) I don't have to worry about flashing anyone! Because these are my staple pieces, I have a hard time branching out into new fashion. This book would help give me new outfit ideas & help me use what I have for my very visible line of work!
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI can't live without a good pair of straight-leg dark wash jeans. Wear 'em with anything and still look good! :)
I just do not ever want to give up my black leather pumps.... they go with everything.
ReplyDeleteMy go-to items would be jeans (3/4 of the year) and summer dresses (the remainder)..both are easy to dress up or down and are comfortable..great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI could not give up jeans.
ReplyDeleteI would love to read this book. I have been procrastinating the cleaning out of my closet. I know I need to purge the clothes I feel I will never wear. My must have in my wardrobe is a pair of black pants. I can always plan an outfit around those.
ReplyDeleteBlack pants definitely and right now I really like scarves/necklaces!
ReplyDeleteFun! This piece of clothing WAS my black boots for winter but the zipper broke! :( so now it's my maternity skinny jeans from Old Navy :)
ReplyDeletecardigans! love them.
ReplyDeleteI was just checking out this site yesterday. I need to do some shopping and don't want the same old stuff. My favourite item is a black turtle neck. It's at lease 10 years old and i still wear it often
ReplyDeleteOooh...so need to purchase a copy ASAP. I am getting ready to go through my master closet and need to have a game plan. Now that I am over forty, I am finding I am better off purchasing a few good quality staple pieces rather than a bunch of trendy items. I am not trying to look like my college age daughters, but I don't want to look like my mother either. It is hard to find pieces that are age appropriate. As for my go to items...my NYD jeans (a must have for those who have trouble finding great fitting jeans) and my black ballet flats.
ReplyDeleteWould love to see you do a follow up post on your must haves!
Must have- Jean skirt! Awesome Giveaway.
ReplyDeleteBoy....do I need a copy!! Just cleaning out my closet to get ready for a garage sale and relieze that I need to freshen up my wardrobe! My go-to items are white shirts and grey cardigans. (with hoop earrings):). Please pick me
ReplyDeleteMy go to item is my kn high black boots. Great for day or night and oh so comfortable! I'm in major need of closet downsizing. I live in a small apartment with my boyfriend and there is definitely not enough closet space.

ReplyDeleteI tend to wear trouser jeans and cardigans.
ReplyDeleteI love my banana republic spring cardigan.it's so comfy and looks stylish.
ReplyDeleteMy go to would probably be white botton down man's shirt. I own 5 or 6. I where them with a cami underneath, on their own, sleeves rolled up, sleeves down, as a cover up, dressed up or with jeans and flats. I love them!
ReplyDeleteSabrina

ReplyDeleteJeans are my go to piece.

ReplyDeleteWrap dresses for work, sun dresses for weekends
ReplyDeleteFleece. Lots and lots of fleece. Um, I think I need this book....
ReplyDeleteCardigans! They make me feel more put together and cozy..
ReplyDeleteOh this would be great to have. I'm on the road to losing 40 pounds and I'm between sizes. I keep purging my closet of what is too big. I spend at least 30 minutes a night trying to decide what to wear. I'd love the ebook to help me decide on a wardrobe once I get to my goal. I feel like my style is already changing. I live in hoodies. Is that bad? Ha.
ReplyDeleteYes, I am with Amanda. My go to is definitely a cardigan. I feel warm and covered.
ReplyDeleteJeans!
ReplyDeleteDark jeans and a black cardigan.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great book and exactly what I need! My go to...jeans and T-shirts (usually layered with a Hanes men's undershirt).
ReplyDeleteSounds like a book i could use. My go to item is my peruvian alpaca poncho in charcoal- it's beautiful & elegant and handwoven~ I throw it on over nearly anything to dress things up a touch- I love it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for a chance to win this book.
whoops- I submitted this under an anonymous profile~ sorry
ReplyDeleteSounds like a book i could use. My go to item is my peruvian alpaca poncho in charcoal- it's beautiful & elegant and handwoven~ I throw it on over nearly anything to dress things up a touch- I love it.
Thanks for a chance to win this book
Cindy
Definitely Jeans!
ReplyDeleteOh, I need this book SO! I'm a t-shirt+jeans+sneakers kind of girl and I'm trying to change it a little bit without gathering a giant amount of clothes. Anyway, fave go-to clothes? Jeans, of course, what else! I wear them 99% of a time (1% being the official occasions).
ReplyDeleteMy collection of hoodies!
ReplyDeleteMy go to piece is a sleeveless blouse with an interesting detail at the neckline (such as ruffles or pleating). This staple can get me through all four seasons here in the Midwest. Fall/winter I wear it under a blazer or heavyweight cardigan, and spring/summer I can wear it under a lightweight cardigan or even by itself. There are so many different ways to wear it...with jeans and flats, skirt and heels, I could go on and on!
ReplyDeleteI have to have anything black (sweater, pants, shoes, etc.) Everything goes with black. sterjamkr@hotmail.com
ReplyDeleteMy go to item is a sleeveless blouse with an interesting detail at the neckline (such as ruffles or pleats). I love how I can wear it through all four seasons here in the Midwest. In the fall/winter I can wear it under a blazer or cardigan, and in the spring/summer I can wear it under a lightweight cardigan or even by itself. You can pair it with jeans and flats, skirt and heels, etc. So much versatility!
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite clothing items is my boot-cut jeans that fit just right and are soooo comfortable! But I love my long sleeve black shirt and also the white one. I can accent them with scarves or a jacket and change the look completely! Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI have this wonderful shrug - a grey cabled thing - that I bought three years ago and have worn 4x a week!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite piece of clothing is definetely my black pants. They are just an old pair of pants but they are like my security blanket. We can never go wrong with a pair of black pants! or Can we??
ReplyDeleteMy go-to piece is a white theory button down shirt. I've had it for years and can be worn with just about anything!
ReplyDeleteNo matter how hard I try. I end up in a hoodie a d jeans. Boring! I need go to clothes for a simple look that transitions well! And most of all works for a busy mom of 3!!!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite go to item, is nothing anyone ever sees. An absolute must have is a quality bra that was fitted for you by a bra shop. They cost alot and in my case, I travel across the Canadian/US border an hour+ from my home to get one. A good bra can make the cheapest top look like a million bucks.
ReplyDeleteAfter my last fitting/purchase, a sweet happily married guy at work scratched his head and said, "Gee-you look different. I mean good but different." He looked mortified and began to flee my desk. I offered up to his back that it must be my new hair cut :) but I think we both knew, it wasn't the hair.
Would love to win this book. I need all the help I can get.....
ReplyDeleteI end up in a cardigan almost every day. I could use this book!
ReplyDeleteLove this topic! My go to item is my collection of Old Navy stretch camisoles in almost every color they've ever made. I wear them under white shirts or tees and jeans or dressy pants.

ReplyDeleteMy go to item is my favorite pair of Lucky Brand jeans. Would love a copy of this book. I've got way to much stuff in my closet!
ReplyDeleteMy go to item is always a pair of jeans (currently maternity, though everyone always has a favorite, right?!) paired with a cute t-shirt or tank & cardigan. If you looked in my closet; however, you'd find a ton of other clothing that hardly gets worn. :-0
ReplyDelete~JoAnne
i always need a light sweater!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely my black flats!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely my black flats!
ReplyDeleteSad to say.....My Lululemon Be Still Pants :)
ReplyDeleteCan you tell me what format the book is? I can't find that info. Will it play on my kindle or is it other device specific? Will it only play on my computer?
ReplyDeleteI believe it's only able to play on your computer.
