I'm a closet cupcake maker. I haven't really mentioned it before but I've made 1000's of cupcakes over the last few years. I make them for every holiday, friends weddings, family weddings, every birthday party, bridal showers, I've even made them for a bachelor party! It's something I LOVE to do!
So with it being St.Patrick's Day, I did the 'oh so predictable thing' and made cupcakes!
A simple Rainbow Sprinkle Cupcake, with a butter cream icing, and a little sugar 4 leaf clovers!
I iced them 2 different ways:
1) a simple spiral
2) a random spiky pattern (it kinds of looks like hydrangea leaves to me).
Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!
p.s I'm working on a cupcake decorating how to:, keep an eye out for it in the next few weeks!! :)

Yummy. I love cupcakes. My 13 year old and myself love to bake and these are our specialty. Happy St. Patty's Day.
ReplyDeleteYum, you have inspired me to make some for st. Patty's day as well.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, love them too. Easier than cake or pie I think. I'm ready to bust into some green frosting myself this weekend.
ReplyDelete"Closet Cupcake Maker"... like it's something to be ashamed of! Those cupcakes look so cute... looking forward to the tutorial!
ReplyDeleteYum! They look so good. Okay, now I am going to HAVE to stop by our local cupcake shop for one today (yes, I know, I could make some-but I am an instant gratification kinda gal). LOL And, Kate's busy today! (she's my cupcake maker)

ReplyDeleteHave you checked out Scoop N Save yet? It's on Fraser highway right downtown.... if you haven't been yet I suggest you go check them out, they have an awesome selection of cake/candy/cupcake supplies. (and lots of bulk sprinkles!)
ReplyDeleteI am a VERY regular client of Scoop N Save!!! haha
DeleteI'm probably in there at least 2 or 3 times a month! Also when I'm too lazy to make my own icing I buy their pre-made icing I might almost say it's better then mine ? ? ? maybe. hehe

I love cupcakes and everything that goes along with them.... including eating them. I've found that decorating/icing cupcakes is super therapeutic for me. I guess decorating a whole cake would put me into a complete relaxed state.
ReplyDeleteYum, they look great.
ReplyDeleteYour St Pats muffins look great :)
ReplyDeleteIm more of a closet packet mix baker (hangs head in shame) but I am trying to bake more to impress my man, Iv in fact just taken some carrot cake muffins out of the oven to cool. Fingers crossed they taste good!
OOOOOO,Those look scrumptious! I just found your blog through Centsational Girl and I have to say "I Love Your Style!" Your house is beautiful. I'm so jealous because we have builders oak looking molding and my husband doesn't like white all that much. I love white, especially when it's mixed with other colors like your house is. Some day I hope to convince him to change some things to white.
ReplyDeleteYummy!! Seeing your cupcake my mouth is watering.
