I've mentioned before that I am the least talented member of my family in this post. I have some more proof of that today! My aunt and her very talented husband Ron make amazing signs. Cottage signs, business signs, and now family plaque signs!
They made us carved us this beautiful sign out of MAPLE they harvested off of their property.
I had only 2 questions:
1) How do you do that???
They burn the images and letters into wood with a laser which is how they get such amazing detail.
&
2) Will you host a giveaway on the blog???

For me it came between "saltysprings Organic greens" and "funky bunnky" I love how they still keep their signs organic in their look, retaining the beauty of the wood. I have a linear drawing I did when my husband and I were dating. He was in the USA and I was in the UK. We dated for a whole year long distance and then I came over here and married him. I was just visiting but he proposed and I stayed. The drawing that I did is two people entwined and I know they could put it into the sign. Like they did the leaf in SaltySprings Organic greens. Its our 4year anniversary coming and that would be a great gift for him. fingers crossed X

I actually had a great Aunt that lived on Salt Spring forever that passed away a few years ago. We always loved going to visit her and the island and I hope to go back some day and take my children.

WOW, these signs are AMAZING! For my home, I love the family establishment one you have shown here on your blog, but out of all the signs, I love the "Bruce's Kitchen" sign, the combination of the wood with the plate and silverwear, thats awesome. All of the designs are so creative!
