I am talking about Pippa Middleton ;). We have more in common other than our great backsides ;) haha Just kidding.
I picked up Pippa's New book from the Library this week and I am head over heels in love with the book. The photography alone is amazing, the recipes look delicious, and the party ideas are really simple, but lovely. I feel like if I wrote a book (with a huge photography budget ;) this book would be it. It is so beautiful, honestly I couldn't wait to turn the page and see what was next.
It's HUGE, but it's also expensive. I picked it up from our local library and now I just might have to buy it. Normally I wouldn't spend $40 on a book, but for me this one is a classic.
This book calls for a rainy day, a cup of tea and free afternoon! It's definitely worth a read, and even a buy!

Loving that you have posted more on the blog recently, since I discovered your blog some six months ago I cannot help but to read daily. You always inspire me with your green way of life and beautiful photos! I live in England at the moment so it was fun to see British literature on your blog. I will have to check out Pippa's book!
ReplyDeleteOh! I bought it from amazon.co.uk for just 14 british pounds (it was down from 25 actually!) and...yes! it is that good, I certainly agree with you!
ReplyDeleteYour photography is awesome! The pillow and the tulips ..... so pretty. The light was beautiful yesterday wasn't it? I think today would be a good day to curl up to read that book. I haven't heard of it, thanks for the intro ..... I'm heading out to get one. Love her.
ReplyDeleteHeard about it, but wasn't sure if it was any good (or worth the price). Good to know it got the Ashli seal of approval!! LOL I may just have to pick it up the next time Barnes and Noble sends me a 25% coupon.
ReplyDeleteIt's on sale on the Chapters website right now for $25! I just bought it!
ReplyDeleteI will have to check it out.
ReplyDeleteI forgot this book was coming out until reading this post :)
ReplyDeleteI am going to go check our local library this week and see if they have it.

Wow, that does look gorgeous. Right into my amazon cart for sure. It's listed as $28 for me, granted I have prime and am in the US, but you might get a better deal than $40 Canadian dollars.
ReplyDeleteI will definitely have to check it out. I heard some ho-hum reviews about it, but maybe those weren't to be believed?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the recommendation!
Great review, does it include a photo of her from behind? It would be a best seller if it did!
ReplyDeleteIm with you I usually get my books out of the library but with design books like this one I cant help myself and would want to buy it for myself. Theres something about a new book with its unturned pages that is pretty special isnt it.
What a coincidence! I got her book last week from the library. Want to try out some recipes.
ReplyDeleteYou know I LOVE the Middleton's and whole William and Kate thing. I've never followed any celebrity or been into any of that. (I almost never who all these people on magazines are.) But I fell in love with them and I buy any magazine with Kate or Pippa on it and have reallllly wanted this book. SO glad a source I trust and who's lifestyle (aka Wanna-be Martha's) is so much like mine, has a great review of the book. I'm going to have to get it, but we'll just not mention to the hubs that price tag. :)
ReplyDeletejust reserved mine at the library!
ReplyDeleteI just picked up her book at the library today. So far I'm really enjoying it and I'm looking forward to trying out some of the recipes.
ReplyDeleteChecked it out from the library... And now it's in my amazon cart. :-) I want to have dinner parties all the time now! Also: I am going to make the Hasselback Potatoes on page 54 tonight as our side.
