    Our Chair had Cold Feet!

Our Chair had very cold feet . . . our black Windsor chair refused to marry the bench! ;) hehe Just kidding!
He had actual cold feet! Just kidding . . .
Would you believe that he was scratching up our hardwood floors, ah yes . . . definitely more believable!

I could have titled this post "I Hate sticky pad floor protectors" or "I'm tired of finding sticky pad floor protectors on the bottom of my slippers!" Those darn little floor protectors never stay on!

This black Windsor chair is my FAVORITE chair in the house. I saw it for $75 at an antique store (although I don't think it's an antique) but I love it so much! We use it as an extra chair in the living room, an extra dining chair, an extra desk chair, and extra back yard chair, I even sat in it on the front porch handing out candy Halloween night!
Because I have the upper body strength of a kitten I tend to drag the chair around and those sticky felt pads weren't cutting it, errrr . . . . sticking it, as it were.
I found these chair socks at a local store (Diaso) they sell everything Japanese! At first I thought they were dog socks! But then I realized they were something far more ridiculous . . . chair socks.
Long story short! They work, they stay on the chair no matter what and they are pretty darn cute!
So if you are tired of sticky felt pads stuck to your sock instead of your chair I would highly recommend chair socks (there's a sentence I never imagined I'd say).

p.s. You can find your very own chair socks on Amazon, or Ebay!

Those are adorable! Never would have thought of a solution like that, haha, but it works - and it's super cute!

Good idea...though I'd probably just end up using them as dog socks anyways...

Pretty much the best idea ever! :-) Plus they're so inexpensive, you can change the color/pattern all the time with the seasons. Just cool.

That really is brilliant! I hate those little felt pads too. In fact, I have found so many on the floor around my chairs (as in, not where they're supposed to be), I need a better solution. I may have to purchase some socks for my chairs too!

OH, oh! I hate the sticky pads, and the ones you hammer into the bottom of the legs aren't much better. They stay put, but are a pet hair magnet, so the chairs end up with clumps of fuzz at the base of the legs. I like these. I'm sure they will gather pet fur, BUT you can take them off and wash them. Brilliant! I'm off to Daiso to buy chair socks and lemon-scented pencil leads (another one of their brilliant products...)

When I was a kid in the 80's I remember my Nan had brightly colored chair socks that she had knit herself. It cracks me up that they are coming back.
BTW, your socks are way more stylish than my Nan's.

I didn't know Daiso was in Canada, I thought it was just here in Japan. I love that store, 105 yen and you can find anything and everything you didn't know you needed. Honestly though, the best containers for pantry organization and stuff. p.s. I bought the chair socks for my dogs.

You have a BEAUTIFUL HOME! I literally love everything about it. Honestly, you truly have a gift. I think you're luckier than most of us since Lee is so handy and can carry out your vision. I would move into your house, completely furnished and decorated, bird, fish and dog included, in a HEART BEAT!!

I see the perfect project for my misc. scraps of yarn: multi-colored, fun socks. And it will make my hubby very confused. Win-win for me!
