    Feng Shui Books

I've mentioned our Feng Shui-y ways before in this post. And I've mentioned how much I love reading in multiple posts throughout the years so it seemed like a natural pairing to put together a list of my favorite Feng Shui Books! :)
I could pretty much sum it up with this . . . Lillian Too!
Her books are concise and get the message across very clearly. She makes feng shui seem really approachable!
A few of my favorites are:
    1.  Lillian Too's 168 Feng Shui Ways to Declutter Your Home
    2.  Lillian Too's 198 Feng Shui Ways to Transform Your Life
    3.  Total Feng Shui: Bring Health, Wealth, and Happiness into Your Life
    4.  Lillian Too's Easy-to-Use Feng Shui: 168 Ways to Success
If you're looking for a little reading this fall I would definitely suggest any of those 4 books!! :)
Hope you have a great weekend, be back Monday with a serious FALL season post.

(Full Disclosure: We were in NO WAY paid or perk'd for this post, I just really love Lillian Too's books and general approach to feng shui!)

I am just rearranging a bedroom and had a quick feng shui question you probably know off the top of your head. Where should the head of the bed be? When you walk into the bedroom the door is on a wall a wall ll with a double closet (bifold doors) to the right. The far right wall has french doors in the middle looking out to a deck. The wall infront of you is mostly blank with a window in the right corner. And the wall on the left is completely blank. I kind of want the bed facing the french doors but the other natural location would be for it to be facing you as you walk in the door. Thoughts? I know it is hard without a picture. Thanks!

        Hi Lesley,
Feng Shui practice is generally NOT to have the foot of your bed facing the door/ entrance to your room. I would face the bed towards the french doors. Especially if the french doors aren't used often. Generally speaking your feet shouldn't face the door you enter your room through. So if you enter the room through the french doors more than through the interior door that would be a different story but since it's a deck I'm guessing you don't enter through them a lot!
        Hope that helps a bit!

I picked up #4 after your feng shui post. Looking to get a few more of her books as well. She makes it very easy to understand and I am enjoying learning about the concept.

When working with Feng Shui, you must decide how deep down the rabbit hole you wish to go. It can be as precise as birth dates and times, varying time zones to something as simple as placing pink flowers in the bedroom for romance. If you're considering directions you should probably consult a licensed feng shui master, complete with i ching compass. If you're dabbling, choose for good flow and keep sharp corners away from door ways. But that's just sort of good sense anyway! Good Luck.

That's a really great point Jasi. I really like the way you put that! We definitely practice only basic feng shui, which I agree has good design principals anyways!
