I Love thrift stores! Somehow if you find something your looking for, it's like you won a teeny tiny lottery!
Last week I shared the coat tree we found at the Salvation Army, for $4 . . . holla!! :)
On the same trip we found 3 wood candlesticks. The theme of the trip seemed to be . . . find it, like it, buy it, spray it, LOVE it! We sprayed our coat tree in Oil Rubbed Bronze and we sprayed our Candlesticks in Rust-oleum's Sun Yellow!
After a few days in the garage to off gas (I don't want that going on inside the house). I brought them in and popped them on top of the coffee table, fully intending to pick them up later and put them somewhere else, but I liked the way they looked on the coffee table.
I think they turned out great! I love their new yellow color, I love their shape and once we add back the wicker tray and other accessories I think I'm going to LOVE their new home on the coffee table!
p.s. Each Candlestick was 69 cents!!! That's a total of $2.07 for all three! So far I've spent $6.07 at the thrift store and I still have one more purchase to show you next week!!
Awesome finds! I love that coat tree.. like a lot. It has great shape. The sunny yellow is perfect! I feel like heading out to find some candlesticks of my own!
ReplyDeletesuper gorgeous! I love yellow!
ReplyDeleteLove love love the yellow! Great treasures.
ReplyDeletePretty yellow! Good finds :)
ReplyDeleteNice! I picked up two wooden candleholders at a church tag sale this weekend (it was a all-you-can-throw-into-bag for $2 deal, so they were PENNIES). I like how you have three, though, which makes it more interesting to look at!
ReplyDeleteI added some yellow accents in a homemade gift for my sister's b-day this weekend, too (this just happened to be what I posted on today):

those are great finds! I think I need to put more time and effort into hunting these kinds of finds at thrift stores and garage sales...because they look great with a little coat of spray paint!
ReplyDeleteThat yellow is gorgeous Ashli. Your visitors can find these in natural wood online at Stockade.ca (not for the thrift store price but still a good deal at less than $5).

ReplyDeleteI wish I could come across a coat tree at the thrift store! Yours is gorgeous - such a great shape. I think I'll have to pick up some candle sticks on my next hunt - yours look great on the coffee table! Sarah
ReplyDeleteLove the yellow color! Great find.
ReplyDeleteWe must be sisters. I just sprayed my headboard ORB and a stool Sun Yellow. I'm waiting for them to get all cured up before I bring them inside.
ReplyDeleteThese turned out so prettty! I have three candle sticks that I found at a thrift store a few years ago that have been red, white, and now teal. I was looking at them the other day thinking that they may want to be yellow now. I think I am now convinced. Yellow has always been a fav color of mine and I think it it time it starts apprearing in my house.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE yellow. Your candle sticks are so cute. My dining room is a golden/yellow. My small kitchen is red. I have found several cute yellow things at estate/garage sales, and 2nd hand stores to incorporate in both rooms. I recently bought a lamp from a friend (it was his mother's) and I painted it a pale yellow. I'm a spray paint queen....ha! I spray paint everyting!!! =)
ReplyDeleteI love the yellow candlesticks! Yellow is such a happy and fun color.
ReplyDeleteLove the candlesticks...agree thrift or garage sale finds are the best!
ReplyDeleteI am proud to say quite a few frugal finds are throughout my home!
Love the candlesticks! And I'm wondering about that cute rug by the fireplace? I can see a corner of it.... did you get a new one!? Love it!! :)
