    Cutco Knives Giveaway

I do a lot of cooking and the most important tool in my kitchen is a good sharp knife! So when Cutco offered to sponsor a giveaway I replied with a resounding YES.
It's a bit of a full circle moment for me, during college I was looking for a part-time job and one of the places I interviewed for was Cutco, I ended up turning them down for a job at a local Italian Restaurant but Cutco was next on my list!

*I'd heard of Cutco's lifetime warranty and was excited to find out that Cutco makes everything from Knives to Garden tools, Cutlery to Cookware and Everything comes with a Forever Guarantee and are made in the U.S.A!*

    Here's what's up for grabs:

The Petite Santoku Kitchen Knife, the Santoku Trimmer, and the Vegetable Peeler with the Ergonomic handle!

We've had our knives for the last few weeks and we're loving them, Lee loves the trimmer because it's perfect for tomatoes (as you can imagine Lee's a little heavy handed and the serrated blade made it much easier). The Petite Santoku was too small for Lee's hand but was perfect for me.

    The Details:

Prize: The Petite Santoku, the Santoku style Trimmer and the Vegetable peeler in Black(a $239 value)

To Enter: Let us know what your favorite Kitchen Tool you couldn't live without!
Bonus Entry: Hop over to Cutco's Website and let us know what your favorite product is.
Please try to make your first entry and your bonus entry as a two comments (it makes counting up entries a lot easier, thank you in advance).

Contest Open to: Canadian and U.S. Residents

Contest Closes: Sunday March 11th at 11:59 pm PST.

THE CONTEST IS NOW CLOSED OUR WINNER WAS LUCKY NUMBER #55. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO ENTERED!!!!

    GOOD LUCK!!!!
Make sure to check out our knife drawer organization later on today, I thought we'd stick with the knife theme and make a day of it! ;)

Thank you CUTCO for sponsoring today's giveaway!

I couldn't live without a couple. The first is my ice cream maker. My husband had wanted to take it off of our wedding registry, but we received it & it is probably the thing that we use the most. We love ice cream! The other thing is our food processor. It makes some things soo much easier than having to spend an hour chopping things by hand!

Just hopped over there & saw they have a garlic press! I hadn't encountered those before 'till a couple of weeks ago when my friend was using one at her house & I was amazed! I'd love one of those someday.

I checked out their website and I would love a good cheese knife. I have a generic one that came as a set with a cutting board, but it's not very good. Also the spatula would be great since I've started making my kids birthday cakes...I don't have a spatula and I really should :)

I have to say my favourite, most used tool is my cast iron casserole pan. That puppy will cook or bake almost anything. It lives on my stove top because I use it almost daily. My second favourite has to be my rice cooker.

My faourite item from the website has to be the slice and serve. Or the petite santoku. My chef's knife is too big for my hands.

I can't live without my kitchen sissors. I have no grip strength so everything that comes in a package gets cut open. Those knives look fabulous and I've never owned a good knife before. I would love to try something like those.

My favorite kitchen gadget is this little mini chopper I got at a Tupperware party of all places. You know how you always feel you have to buy something, so I got that thinking I would never use it, but I love it.

My favorite kitchen tool is my Pyrex glass measuring cup. The measurements are easy to read and it's easy to pour from. Best of all, it eliminates the need to use multiple size individual measuring cups.

I have a Pampered Chef tool that I use when cooking ground beef, it chops it up in the pan as I'm frying it. It's safe for my nonstick pan and, wow, I wish I had it about 10 years ago. I use it for cooking lots of different kinds of foods that need mixing. Great one!
