Guest Post: Carly from Perfectly Pretty

Hi, Today I'm over on Perfectly Pretty and Carly is over here! I hope you enjoy the switcheroo!! Be back tomorrow with another Flowers on Friday.

Hello Maillardiville Manor readers, I am so excited to be guest posting on Ashli's beautiful blog as I am a huge fan of hers! Like Ashli, I am highly addicted to organizing and love living in a home where everything has a place. Before I get to the tour, I thought it would be helpful to give you a little background on our family and our home. I'm a stay-at-home mom of 4 year old twin girls and very lucky to be happily married to my best friend for over 14 years. We live in a small home (for North American standards), at only 1150 sq ft, plus developed basement and as strange as this may sound organizing and cleaning makes me happy! Now onto the house tour, I hope you enjoy!

My decorating style is definitely a mix of Ikea family functionality and vintage farmhouse finds. I also love to mix pretty pattern fabrics and textures to create a room's unique character. Here is a room-by-room tour of our home.

Hi Carly, I like your home! Your home might not be one of the biggest, but still you find enough room to have a fine crafting room and I also think your kitchen is quite big. I love all that! Plus the red play kitchen for your twins, too cute! I will take a look at your blog, but now I ahve to go outside. Summer is finally here and as we don't know how long it will last, we are going to have a barbecue with our lovely neighbours.
      Bye,
      Jule (from Germany)

Two of my favorite bloggers coming together...how fun! I adore Carly's home and how crisp and clean it is. I also live is a smaller home and I'm inspired by what she's done with her space.

In love! Love your house.... but I have to ask (and I should ask Ashli the same thing!) where do you keep your 'stuff'... you know, the lotions, the hairdryer, the things that come in, but they don't yet have a space. This is what I struggle with, and I could use some help from experts who have such lovely homes, with solutions for such issues.

I was having heart palpitations while looking at Carly's house. Simplistically gogeous was the only way I could think to describe it. It's so great to know that you don't have to have a huge house to have a gorgeous HOME! LOVE IT!!!! :)

Huge fan of both blogs and I also wonder how you do it with the white slipcovers!! Yikes. My kids would trash the place.
