Our last day of our Blogaversary Celebrations is Today, It's been fun! We're looking forward to another year of blogging and renovations :)
To cap off our Blogaversary Week, I thought I'd share a few of my favorite Flowers on Friday's from the year:

I Love this little guy in the julep cup beside the powder room sink (If we're having people over I like to keep a little bouquet in the bathroom.

This purple one is probably my favorite:

Those are lovely. Where did you learn to keep house? Did you Mom teach you? A Grandmother? I am almost twice your age and only started learning this stuff about ten years ago. I had to read about having flowers--and it took a lot more than that to "allow" myself to purchase them more than just once in a while.

Alexandra Stoddard calls them "Grace Notes" and thinks they are essential--and she's right. I just wonder how you got it figured out already! Kudos.

Very nice! I too like to have fresh flowers and typically pick or buy them for my home once a week. I always add extra flowers when I am expecting guests. It is a nice and welcoming touch. Depending on how far my guests have to travel, I sometimes send some of the flowers home with them.

Fresh flowers are one of those few things I do splurge on when those in our own backyard are not in bloom (our hydrangeas are gorgeous right now). I love that you take larger bouquets and break them up to have throughout your home. I love the carnation topiary! Carnations last for such a long time.

      Thanks Ladies :)
Alana- I'm not sure where I first learned it, definitely not my grandmother haha she hates almost everything domestic. Probably my mom, she Loves all the same things I love! But it mostly came from a quote I read
"what you do while your procrastinating is probably what you should be doing for a living" And every chance I had a work I would be on Marthastewart.com and all during college I would take breaks to bake or make something. It really is my passion!
Thanks for the question I never really thought of it before :)

I would rather have fresh cut flowers all over my house all the time instead of a diamond necklace. Love your blog. So pretty!

      Have you heard this quote?
"When you have only two pennies left in the world, buy a loaf of bread with one, and a lily with the other."
My grandma has that somewhere in her house and I love it!
