I LOVE Tulips in fact I wanted to call the blog Tulips and Tube socks :) But Lee thought I was crazy and in the end Maillardville Manor sound much more elegant :) (In case your wondering why Tube Socks. . . I love tube socks!)
Wow I get off topic quick . . . anyways
TULIPS!!! Love 'em!
Here's a little $3.99 bouquet of 5 tulips! Super great price! Such a great price in fact, that I was able to buy a cute little pot for it to go into. The plant pot if from Ikea it was $2.99 I loved the lace cut out at the top, I'm going back on Monday to get a few more :) I'm THAT in love with them!
Hope everyone has a FANTASTIC weekend, we'll be spending the weekend at the plant nursery! Our nursery gives you little golf carts to ride around their grounds with, it's how I get Lee to LOVE the nursery as much as I do!

ReplyDeleteI love tulips as well! My favorite as of late has been daffodils they have so many different varieties now! Lovin the lace top pots to cute!
ReplyDeleteI love tulips too! So pretty. =] And that flower pot is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteDo you use the penny trick? I read about it a few months ago and was like, yeah right! But just by putting a penny (or two) in the bottom on the vase, they last SO much longer! Mine last like two weeks. It is amazing!!
ReplyDeleteTulips are just fabulous. I think they might be my new fav. flower.. especially after a patch of them popped up in my front flower beds when last year they weren't there and I never planted them.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend :)
I have purchased two bunches of tulips so far this Spring. Trader Joe's in the States has them for $4.99 for 10 stems.
ReplyDeleteI love tulips too! Our local Whole Foods has had a special on them all week-3 bunches/$5. Too funny about the golf cart. Oh, and I thought the tube sock part was for Lee. LOL
ReplyDeleteYay for spring! I was walking down a street today just off Commercial Drive and I almost started to cry ... I saw Cherry Blossoms. I guess I really need spring! Happy I found you.. we are from Vancouver too!
ReplyDeleteLindsay
Thanks so much for the Tulip Love, I can see everyone is itching for Spring as much as we are over here :) I do put a penny in the water, It really does make them last longer, although CTFOODANDGOLF you must a tulip whisperer because I've never been able to make them last longer then a week :)
ReplyDeleteAnd don't worry Lindsay, Commercial St. is so pretty when the cherry blossems come out!
Yellow tulips were my mother's favorites. She carried them at her wedding! Such a beautiful arrangement. Have fun plant shopping!
ReplyDeleteMegan
I love tulips too! If I see pink ones, I have to buy! The other blog title Tulips and Tube Socks would of made me click on that one too!.
ReplyDeleteLove tulips, too!!! I live in the Lower Mainland and MUST know where this nursery with golf carts is - sounds so fun!!!
ReplyDeleteLove your blog and so happy when I find Canadian ones, let alone BC ones.... let alone Vancouver ones!!

Oh and the golf cart nursery is in Surrey right near the langley border, It's called Arts Nursery and it's on 192nd Street.
ReplyDeleteIt's so much fun, although Lee almost toppled one having too much fun around a corner :) hehe
They weren't too happy about that :)
