    What else can I say . . . . . it's a sickness!

This week we are SPRING CLEANING! Around this Manor we take an entire week to get the house ready for spring.
Yesterday we started in the kitchen. Which is carrying on, into today!
We tackled two cupboards, the two tallest cupboards since Lee would be home helping me and he's much taller then I am (almost an entire Foot Taller to be exact).

This cupboard kind of makes me look like an horder, I can explain!! I LOVE white dishes!  They look fabulous in almost any setting. You can buy many different brands and patterns and from tons of different companies and they all match each other. And . . . well that's all I've got. Don't Judge me!! hehe

And this Cupboard keeps our everyday white dishes. It'is right above the dishwasher so it's easy to put dishes away.

Honestly, yesterday I went into the kitchen with the intention to start our spring cleaning and totally got sidetracked organizing the cupboards! But Today is when the real dirty work happens, unless I open another un-organized cabinet or you know, something shiney flys by. Just kidding!

I, too, am addicted to white plates. We're moving to our first home next week and I'm already thinking about how I'm going to arrange all our china and my milk glass collection. Timely post for me!

I see I am not alone in my spring cleaning madness! I began by vacuuming the car and wiping the leather upholstery with a leather cleaner. Next I am re-arranging the kitchen as well!
Too bad the sun only lasted on day, sniff....

I too have all white dishes. Is so easy to see a pretty piece and know it will work with what you have.
I just stared adding color by collecting Anthropologie's Latte Bowls, they are perfect for cereal and breakfast items.

Can I ask where you got your glass cookie jars? I am looking for something just like that? Do they hold a lot?

Well, you brought me out of lurkdom with this post - I have the same sickness! :D I love white china - recently scored at the Ikea sale (they have it every so often). White place settings for four, $5 each (bought four) & even got nice, heavy blue tinted drinking glasses (which were banned in my house after I stepped on broken glass many years ago - so my kids can now stop teasing me about having no glasses in the house). AND - I scored on a set of stainless flatware on eBay (said it was vintage, but it looks like one I saw at Ikea - but much less expensive :D)

I have a great thrift store near me (just moved here) - only found one white piece there so far. It's sitting in my cupboard.

Forgot to mention that for the first week after I purchased the white sets, every time I entered the kitchen I'd open the cabinets & sigh a happy-sigh. Just a beautiful sight!

You cant go wrong with white it all looks like part of a set.
I'm going to steal your cookbook storage idea when I do my kitchen this year, I'd love to have them on hand when I need them instead of having to run back and forward to the study all the time like I do now!

Jan- The Cookie jars on the counter are great, they are a great size and they work really well for us. I've used them for everything from cookies to cereal!
Ours were a wedding gift for The Bay (here in Canada). But I've seen ones almost Identical from Target and also at Walmart :)
      Hope that helps
      Ashli

i want you to come and organise my house (kitchen) for me.... i want to be organised but i am lazy and easily distracted/bored haha! i am very tidy and clean but all my cupboards hide all sorts of unorganised chaos... yep, i admit it, i'm a 'shove it out of sight' kinda girl.

Heeeeelp me! Hopefully if I read your blog enough, I'll get so jealous of the tidy cupboards that I'll actually sort them out :-D x
