    Martha on Monday: Bookplates

With all the work we've been doing on the library (just waiting for the paint to dry) I started thinking about Bookplates. I LOVE my collection of books, nearly every book I own is a book I want to keep :) Because most of my books are non-fiction I use them over and over again! So for that reason I want to make sure none of them go missing, and if someone happens to borrow one, I would hate for them to return it to the wrong person :)
So I'm deciding on the perfect book plate:
    Martha had a few Ideas

This one I found on Etsy is my favorite: Here's the LINK

Or this one Also found on Etsy, here's the LINK

and one choice for Lee, found HERE

As soon as the paint dries, I'll have a bookcase reveal ready, followed by a tutorial, and some of my favorite book recommendations (one will make you want chickens, haha). Looks like a Library Themed week, and with any luck I'll find some fabric to make curtains out of and by next week could have at least one completely finished room :) YAAAA-HOOOOO

I love the book plate you chose. I grew up using book plates. It's a wonderful touch to a special book. I look forward to your library reveal.

Love Lee's choice! You chould choose a couple of different options that compliment each other . . . or perhaps using different book plates for different categories. My MIL keeps a journal of everyone who borrows books . . . it is pretty and fun to look at over the years.

I love the idea of using bookplates, as my girlfriends and I pass books back and forth a lot. Love the two you are thinking about. Too funny about Lee's, suits him perfectly!! On a side note, Kate coached in her first tournament today and they won the championship for their age division!!!

A book plate is nicer than a hastily written name which is what I'm guilty of. I would have a hard time choosing any of these..all so cute.
