    New Dining Table

We bought a, new to us, harvest table for our dining room. The timing was less then desirable, and I guess, technically,  we didn't need a new table but all our best craigslist deals were spur of the moment. And when you see a 7 foot harvest table for $150 you don't question it. Even if you are about to move, and there's a chance it might not fit in the new house, but frankly I don't want to live anywhere that didn't fit with a solid wood harvest table.

So here's our new 7 foot harvest table. It needs a little TLC, okay a lot of TLC, but I'm in table love.

We already started fix'in it up, Lee filled the screw holes, why there were screw holes is beyond me, we think the legs started to get wiggly and the previous owners solved the problem with screws, anyway some wood filler did the trick.
    Before:

    After:

Since the new table is much longer then our old table we are able to fit more people, and would require another chair, luckily we had a matching one in the computer room and moved it over to make 3 on the one side, still haven't figured out what to replace the computer room chair with but I'll be sure to let you know when we figure it out.

As for the ripple effect from the new dining table, it was pretty minimal, there's the new computer room chair that will need to be sorted out, and a couple of new prints for above the table but that's about it. One of the reasons I couldn't pass up such a great deal is that it fit so seamlessly into our home.
As for the new "Ripple Effect" art, some very close friends of ours know how much we love topography prints and posters and gifted them to us. I believe they bought them off etsy. I am in LOVE with the I LOVE FARMS and who couldn't use a little marriage inspiration with the typewriter typing "Real love stories never have endings".

We are going to wait to re-finish the 7 foot beauty until we are in our new home, if we refinish it at all, I'm starting to like the stains and water marks, all that rustic charm that comes with the farmhouse aesthetic.

You will love the table. We have owned a very similar style for 28 yrs and at present I'm planning a big kitchen reno around this table because I can't bear to part with it.
So many happy memories of family and children sitting around enjoying good times!

I love that typography/organic farms framed print! I would love to get that as a gift for friends. And when I have a car (I am working on affording driving school, at 34 yes...) I can start enjoying the fruits of organic, local foods and could buy myself this framed print as well. I will have to look it up on Etsy, I suppose! :)

Great friends to have bought this for you! LOVE the table too. :)
