The Manor is on the Market

The Manor is going on the market this week, the housing market that is. We've been thinking about making the move out to the suburbs for some time now, and with a recent job change on Lee's end NOW is the perfect time to do it!
We are excited, frightened, scared, anxious and over the moon all at once. And with any luck we'll finally have that house we've always been dreaming about. It's always been our number one goal to own our very own, fully detached house and we've been working and saving very hard to achieve it. Townhouse living is great but our own house would be a dream come true.
Not to mention all the new decorating and organizing projects we'll be able to tackle and share with our fabulous readers.
But with every good there is a little bad, we'll have to say goodbye to our Beloved Manor. We poured blood, sweat and tears into this place, and I will miss it dearly, but I am sure as sugar, we'll be able to make our new house a home.
Here's a little recap of The Maillardville Manor:

and most recently, the Laundry Room Closet.

For now, my biggest question is, since we will no longer be living in Maillardville, can it still be the Maillardville Manor? Or will I have to rename our new home? or rename the blog? Goodness so many questions, But for now I'll just be happy. I'm so excited I'll be able to share another home with you. (truth be told I was running out of projects in this one) :)

I can't wait to see your plans for a new house. I take it Maillardville is the area where your townhouse is located. Why not just add onto the blog name, "Maillardville Manor - The Sequel" or something to that effect?

Good luck! How far into the suburbs are you going? My husband works near YVR and he commutes to work approx. 1.5 hours each way. We were able to purchase a 4 bedroom house out here for the what we would have paid for a 1 bedroom apartment in the city. For us, it is definitely worth it! Have fun house hunting...that is my favorite part :)

      Many Blessings,

PS - I'd keep the name. No matter where you go, it's home!

Thank you so much girls!!!! I was concerned all weekend going back and forth on the name! I think i'll keep it! I really didn't want to change it, and you've given me the encouragement to keep it! Lee's happy too! He's like the Maillardville Manor. He says it works because it's all M's, we are the Malinek's living in The Maillardville Manor :)

ooh so many possibilities with a new home! I love the name, by the way.

May I ask who makes that gorgeous wallpaper in your bedroom??

Thanks so much, we're really excited!
As for the wallpaper, it's made by The Wallpaper Company we bought it from The Home Depot. It was a while ago so I'm not sure if it's still in stock but the home depot has great prices on wallpaper and some really cute patterns. You'll be sure to find something really fabulous.
