Our Hydrangea bush was growing like a weed out front and starting to infringe on our front door. So the simplest solution was to cut them back and keep the flowers for the kitchen, difficult life I know. I like how the photo turned out I used one for our house tour photo of the kitchen (too bad I didn't cover up our security system sticker).
The tin flower container was a 99 cent find a The Salvation Army Thrift Store. It was leaking but Lee promptly fixed it with a bead of silicone caulking around the inside!
Now to the project at hand The Bench, it is also a cheap thrift store find and with a Martha Stewart stencil it turned out to be a useful and pretty addition to our kitchen. I printed out the design off of her website, taped it down really well, and using a stencil brush painted on the very chic design. It couldn't have been any easier, and really turned the cheap second hand step stool into something I love.
